Project Overview
The White House is a spacious family residence located in Juhu, Mumbai, spread across approximately 6,000 sq. ft. of internal living space, with an additional 2,000 sq. ft. of extended areas. The home belongs to a Gujarati family with deep emotional ties to the property, making it essential to approach the redesign with care, respect, and sensitivity.
The objective was not to alter the soul of the home, but to reimagine it—enhancing functionality and aesthetics while preserving its warmth and legacy.

Design Approach
From the very first walkthrough, the scale and architectural volume of the house stood out. In a city where compact homes are the norm, this residence offered a rare opportunity to work with generous spatial proportions.
One of the most defining features of the home was its 14-foot-high ceilings. Rather than masking this vertical volume, our design strategy focused on highlighting it. Through the introduction of soft arches, architectural wall treatments, and proportionate detailing, the interiors gained a sense of openness and quiet grandeur—without feeling overpowering.
The home had not been renovated for over 25 years, calling for a complete interior transformation. Early discussions with the homeowners revealed a clear preference for simplicity, muted elegance, and timeless design. Our approach was therefore minimal yet intentional—prioritizing clarity, comfort, and visual calm over trends.
